Career Services

The Career Services Office assists graduates with resumes and interviewing skills and in obtaining employment in their areas of training. Although not possible to guarantee graduates employment, the Career Services Director attempts to provide job leads and send graduates on interviews until initial employment is achieved. Graduates may obtain placement data from the Career Services Office.

The Clinical Site Coordinator is responsible for placing the student after he or she has completed their classroom training and the lab training into a healthcare site for their hands on training towards the completion of the program. At the clinical site the student is able to apply the classroom theory to the clinical setting. The Site Coordinator serves as a liaison between the student, instructor, and the healthcare facility. The Site Coordinator oversees that the clinical objectives are being met, and the student is upholding professional conduct in the healthcare facility. After completion of the clinical externship, the student file is reviewed for consideration towards their diploma from the school. The clinical externship gives the student hands on experience in working in a health care setting and prepares them for national examination and future employment in their area of healthcare preparation.

The student is responsible for completing their clinical hours and will report this information to the Site Coordinator on a weekly basis. The Site Coordinator will set the guidelines in which the student must perform and a certified healthcare officer at the site will verify all information submitted regarding clinical hours. The Externship Coordinator will review all information that is submitted prior to the completion of their program. This will validate that the student has completed all requirements for the program
